For the past week, I’ve been hearing this song on the radio. I kept wondering about the singer. Who was he? I finally figured out that it is Raphael Saadiq, former member of Tony! Toni! Tone! and the song is called Good Man. I know that he’s been doing his solo thing for years now but sometimes I hear is stuff, sometimes I don’t. Anyway, I kinda like the song. It sounds very vintage R&B.

Carey’s older sister, Allison, has been troubled for a long time. She’s had a long history of drug abuse and has been arrested twice for prostitution. She has an ad on Backpage.com describing herself as a blonde name “Denise.” Allison claims that she’s not having sex for money, only offering “companionship” and rubs.

This is a really sad situation. I wouldn’t wish HIV on anyone. I know she says she needs the money but I think Allison should look at finding another way to support herself. If she really got herself together, she could make use of her plight to motivate others to make different life choices. Hello? Public speaking.
