THE DREAM AND CHRISTINA MILIAN DIVORCE

I had a feeling this was going to get ugly. Singer Christina Milan is challenging her divorce from producer The Dream. She’s saying that he lied about the status of their relationship and that he did cheat on her. The divorce papers were signed in February just days before she gave birth to their 5 month old daughter.
This situation is truly sad. Even though they’re both young and will recover from this, it’s a shame that it’s getting to this point. Hopefully, they have better luck next time around. I also hope they learn a little lesson about separation and the media. I completely understand that most entertainers hate telling people all their business. I’m not famous and I don’t like telling people all my business either but, given your position, you do have to plan the best method for handling this in the media and public eye. You can’t (successfully) just do what you wanna do and then make a little statement later. If you know a relationship isn’t working out or that you’re separated, make a simple, formal statement BEFORE you start vacationing with your new love interest. Otherwise, you’ll look bad, the person you’re with will look bad and the person you’re supposed to be with will look bad, when all you have to do is let the fresh breeze of truth blow through the situation and level with people. That way, no one will be surprised. But I guess that makes too much sense.
How should The Dream and Christina Milian handle the dissolution of their marriage and the media going forward?
SAME OLE EXCUSE

First of all, let me apologize for my two week absence. There is no excuse! Seriously, I’ve been trying to finish up a project. Since that’s over (for now), it’s time to get back to business.
At the end of working on my project, I caught Behind The Music with singer Usher. The show explored his career but they mostly talked about his well-publicized relationships with TLC member Chilli and stylist Tameka Foster. It was similar to the approach they took with Jennifer Lopez. Anyway, they came to the part where the talked about how the public reacted to Usher marrying Tameka and, as usual, they gave the same ole excuse. “They weren’t ready to see him married.” The public wanted him to stay single- a heartthrob.
Well, I think that there’s something to the adage that when the public gets to know you one way, it’s hard to change but are they forgetting that the public was supportive of Usher dating Chill? If the public wanted him to be single so bad, why did they support him and Chilli as a couple? And why do they support people, like Will and Jada? I can tell you why. Because for one reason or another (rather warranted or not), the public-mostly Usher’s fans- had concerns about Tameka. Believe it or not, there is a strange kind of relationship between entertainer and their public and I think his fans thought they were looking out for his best interest.
Do you think people’s reaction to Usher’s marriage is as simple as “they didn’t wanna see him married?”
