"HOUSEWIFE" DIVORCE

Former Housewife of Atlanta, DeShawn Graves Snow, is headed for divorce. Her husband, former NBA player Eric Snow, filed for divorce this week citing that their 12 year marriage has no hope of reconciliation. The couple appeared on the first season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Supposedly, she decided to leave the show because she didn’t like all the drama. I guess she has drama now.
First, let me say that I do empathize with them and wish them the best in this difficult time. Statistically, it’s estimated that around 75% of divorces are initiated by women, not men. I don’t mean to speculate but I can’t help raising an eyebrow at Eric being the one to file divorce.
Could there be another woman involved?
DIDDY: GIVE ME THE JOB

Next week, American Idol judge Simon Cowell will end his 9 year run on the star making phenomenon. Since learning how much the judge makes a week, Rap mogul Diddy is ultra interested in taking Cowell’s spot but only if he can make the exact same amount of money. He is advocating for his fans to get on Twitter, Facebook and Myspace to campaign that he get the job.
You know, I like the Internet and what it can do for people. So, on that level, I like the initiative that Diddy is taking to make things happen. However, I have to say that I cannot join in on this campaign. Not because I don’t like Diddy and not because I think he would be a bad judge. Actually, I think he would probably improve the ratings. I can’t join in because it sounds like Diddy just wants the job for the money. I think that’s the wrong reason to do anything. As Cowell said in his Oprah interview this week, Idol is about the contestants, not the judges. If a judge is walking in there with his mind on himself, I’m afraid he will do the contestants a disservice.
Are you going to campaign for Diddy to take Simon Cowell’s spot?
