THIS IS IT

Well, I just came back from seeing the prescreening for Michael Jackson’s This Is It. The movie opens tomorrow, October 28th and it includes backstage rehearsals for what would have been Michael’s last tour. I think it’s definitely worth seeing. I am very impressed with Jackson’s execution and professionalism. Rather you are a big Michael fan or just enjoy a song or two, you will appreciate what this man was putting together. You’ll also appreciate that a 50 year old man could fall on the stage, kick his legs in the air and get back up like it was nothing. Go Michael!
Do you plan to see Michael Jackson’s This Is It?

Given that the climactic moment from the show is presented in the film as an animatic, the viewer has to wonder if the production could have possibly been ready for its London debut. And that leads one to wonder if someone intentionally caused Michael's death as a way of escaping a 50-concert obligation that could not be fulfilled.
Certainly, the film and related materials have been released in an attempt to recoup some of the astromonical investment in the concert production. Some moments give us a glimpse of Michael's creative process and his frustrations in attempting to bring his vision to life. The rehearsals are definitely not full-on performances, but the film gives the viewer a sense of how incredible the final production would have been. The choreography, costumes, set design, lighting and filmed elements are all eye-popping. I am sure we were presented with the very best of the available footage from the show, but Michael Jackson's amazing talent is undeniable. He is indeed a legend gone too soon.
"This Is It" is a must see film for any Michael Jackson fan.
